NEW Speaking Of Art...

Speaking Of Art...

I spent a lot of time (and I mean a LOT of time) picking through all of the arty quotes I could find on line and in the books I have, and brother, WHAT a hard choice it was! And thank you for ALL of the suggestions you sent in when I asked for YOUR favorite quotes, some of them are included here! (I have a TON more, too, so there will probably be another sheet of quotes coming later, if you like these well enough.)

* * * * *

I want to make special note of one item, close to the center, down a bit and to the right, between the A and the R, see the one? It's a little haiku, by Amy Conger, an artist and font designer on line (she designed the TICKET font I made into rubber) and she gave me permission to use it! It's not exactly a quote, and it's not exactly about ART, but you could take it that way. The verse is :

I spend too much time

Applying ink to paper.

Letters make me sigh.

This made ME sigh when I read it. I believe she was referring to letter writing, but you COULD take it as being about STAMPING and applying that ink to paper, couldn't you?? And letters, both the written ones AND the letters themselves, make me sigh...Anyway, I loved it, so there you go. THANK YOU, AMY!!

This artwork was sent in by Martina Keppeln-Stockburger in Germany, using Monas off of both the Going Postal sheet and the I Manipulated Mona sheet, and using one of my fave quotes ever, which is, of course, among the quotes on the Speaking of Art sheet above!
